I found an article on how mobile phones have an effect on the human brain today. When asked the average person has multiple accounts, passwords, and numbers to remember. For example, they all have to remember bank pin numbers, social security, passwords, number plates, etc. About two or three of each at least. Many people declared it is still hard for them to remember all this information even when they use the same passwords and pins usually (which is horrible for security reasons).

It was researched and brought up that an over reliance on technology is actually leading down to the ‘dumbing down of the brain.’ Everyone used to remember their close family and friends’ birthdays, as well as their phone numbers by heart. Now study showed that from the people living today only a third recall maybe three close family member birthdays and most can’t even remember their own landline number. The reason for this is because people are now relying on technology to remember everything for them instead. Technology is a great tool because it actually makes your job a lot easier and you have less to remember and worry about. However, the biggest problem with that is that research has shown the less you use of your memory, the poorer it becomes in the long run. Research showed the older people who didn’t grow up with this type of technology were able to remember a lot more information compared to those under the age of thirty years old that weren’t even able to recall their home phone numbers with out looking at their mobile phones or notes.
