This article was how technology has made it possible for anyone to get a college degree, and now it can be done online! What more convenient way right? They argue that online degrees are great for flexibility, convenience, extremely short, properly accredited usually too. That all sounds great right? Well the problem is that ANYONE can earn the degree. Since it is done online, someone else can earn someone a degree they don’t deserve. Yes, it is more convenient but you don’t learn much with out that one on one interaction you get going to a class. And they are also shorter because you are not getting the same care and attention you should for the course. My worry about this use of technology is the people that take those online course for pharmacy technician and other important fields get a job usually with out knowing much. That becomes a problem and harms everyone else because they really don’t deserve that job and they can be giving out false information to costumers and even taking the jobs that people who have gone to school for years deserve!The question is would you really want someone to give you medications that doesn’t really know much about what kind of illness you have or even the side effects of the pills? It is horrifying to think about the harms that can be caused just because of simple mistakes and carelessness.
