This picture is the most perfect illustration of what is happening to today’s generation. There is a huge gap between how thing used to be and how they are now. Today, children are no longer interested and involved with what used to entertain kids before. I have cousins that refuse to play with their toys and all they want to play with are their parent’s phones. I believe parents are a big part of this because I actually see parents buying their children cellular phones at younger ages. I have also seen children with a device so they can skype their parents. I honestly see no need for a child to skype their parents or to have a cellular phone at such a young age. These children do not have the experiences of playing with their toys now a days. It is crazy to me! It isn’t any better for adults either. They are now using devices to read books instead of getting an old fashioned book and reading it. Even to this day, as much I love my cell phone (I can’t be a hypocrite) I wish I can just leave it behind for a day and I have done that. It was the most relaxing day ever. You do not have anyone bugging you, your time is not spent with having your eyes glued to a screen, and you can do whatever you please with out anyone or anything getting in the way. I think myself and everyone else should have more days like that because it is very possible.
